Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit this website, for what purpose, and which rights you have. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, it applies in addition.

1. Controller

2. Visiting the website

When you visit the website, the servers process technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the previously visited page and information about your browser and operating system. We use this data only to deliver the website, keep it secure and fix faults. The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA), content and images are stored by Supabase Inc. on servers in the EU (Ireland). For transfers to the USA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the provider's certification under the Data Privacy Framework.

3. Fonts

The fonts on this website are delivered from our own server. No connection to Google servers is made when a page is loaded.

4. Consent and storage in your browser

We only use statistics, advertising and maps from Google Maps with your consent. We store your decision in your browser (local storage, entry "bb_einwilligung_v1") so that we do not ask again on every page. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via "Privacy settings" in the footer. Without consent we set no cookies for statistics or advertising.

5. Google Analytics

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics sets cookies and records how the website is used, for example pages viewed, the house visited, the language and the switch to booking. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, Google is certified under the Data Privacy Framework. We keep the data for 14 months. So that a visit can also be attributed in the booking process, a random identifier is added to the booking page address when you click "Check availability".

6. Google Ads

With your consent we use conversion tracking and remarketing from Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited). This lets us measure whether an ad led to a visit or a booking and show you relevant ads later. Google sets cookies for this purpose. For transfers to the USA, the information on Google Analytics applies.

7. Google Maps

On some pages we show maps from Google Maps, a service of Google Ireland Limited. A map is only loaded once you consent, directly at the map or in the privacy settings. When it loads, your browser transfers data to Google, including your IP address and the page you are viewing, and Google may set cookies. For transfers to the USA, what is said about Google Analytics applies. Without consent, a link in place of the map opens the location directly in Google Maps.

8. Booking via SimpleBooking

Bookings are made through the SimpleBooking booking engine. When you click "Check availability" you switch to their pages. We pass on the selected house, travel dates, number of guests and language. We process the data you enter when booking to handle your reservation. SimpleBooking's own privacy information also applies to their pages.

9. Contact and requests

If you contact us by e-mail, phone or through a form on this website (table reservation, contact, boat rental), we process your details to answer your enquiry and keep them for as long as necessary for this purpose and for statutory retention obligations.

We do not store the details from the forms (name, phone, e-mail address, message) on the website. They are sent to the respective house by e-mail. For sending we use the service Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA), which delivers the message via servers in the EU (Ireland). For any transfer to the USA, section 2 applies.

10. Disclosure

We only disclose personal data to the service providers named here who process it on our behalf, or to authorities where we are legally obliged to do so. We do not sell personal data.

11. Your rights

You have the right to information about your personal data, to rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, to object, and to receive or transfer your data. You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. Please contact us at the address above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or in the EU with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

12. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the website or the services used change. The version published here applies.
